Didnt recognise my activation code.

Yesterday my hard drive stopped play suddently and immediately i bought a new one.After the installation of windows etc i went to install all my movies.When i tried to put the activation code these message appeared.It seems to activate the program with the the registration details issued for another major version.......But i get a new code with the discount gift of 50% for the new version.What is happen?
