Hi Guys,
Can some kind soul tell me how to remove
the movie number it's on the media info tab page.
Or just stop it been shown on screen with the film name.
it must be a batched command way as I have 700 films
Thanks in anticipation.

I'm not sure what you're calling the "Movie Info Tab", but if you mean the HTML Template (inside of AllMyMovies), that is very easily changed.
Go to "View", "HTML Template", and choose a different one.
Black Page and Dune do not display the movie number by the title.
Indian displays the number on the left along with the date added (not next to title). Hope this helps.

Clarification

Post #3by flourgrader » Fri Jun 20, 2014 9:15 am

Hiya Viki,
Thanks for Answering. To clarify my post.
I imported my film collection which is 700 films.
In the process of been imported the film Index numbers
got scrambled. I am not too bothered about that.
What I did not like was that it was been shown on the screen
right next to the film title
example "568: A Christmas Carol"
So I went on the Edit movie,on the movie card
I clicked on the tab "Media Info".
On this card there is an option to assign movie index number auto.
I tried to delete the number all together so it would not show on the screen.
Then realised even if it had worked it would take an or awful long time to
edit 700 movies hence that's why I posted a batch fix.
I hope that makes thing somewhat cleared to you.
I tried what you recommended . It did work but I lost all my info
about the films and cover thumbnails,so I reverted back to my old database
Still looking how to sort it.
Thanks again.

My Bad.
I sorted out the Thumbnail covers.
They are working just fine now.
If there is a simple way of removing the index number
from all the films that's what I would like.
as Dune and Black Page are not my cup of tea
if not I will use your work around .
Thanks

I understand your situation better now - thanks for the clarification.

You probably cannot remove the movie number due to the fact that this is a database program. The Database requires a unique field (number) to properly associate all other related fields for each title.

That is why I suggested changing your HTML template to one that did not prominently display the required identification number for each title.
