That what I intend to do :wink:

By the way, for the dutch guys who want to use the kijkwijzer system, it works like this (without the quotes):
  • For 16 add '16' to the MPAA field
  • For 12, add '12' to the MPAA field
  • For 9, add '9' to the MPAA field
  • For 6, add '6' to the MPAA field
  • For All ages, add 'AL' to the MPAA field
  • 'discriminatie' (discrimination)
  • 'drugs' or 'alcohol' (drugs and or alcohol)
  • 'angst' or 'eng' (scary)
  • 'geweld' (violence)
  • 'grof' or 'taal' (bad language)
  • 'sex' (sex)

Here are some examples:
"AL" results wil add the 'All Ages' icon
"6, geweld" will add the '6 years or older' and the 'violence' icons
"12, geweld, angst" will add the '12 years or older', the 'violence' and the 'scary' icons (see preview in my first post)

Hi

I've got a problem with your template. It doesn't work. I've got loads of runtime error messages when I preview your template in AMM. And when I open the exported file I get nothing. Click on the thumb to see what I get instead.
Image
This is by the way the same as the preview I get im AMM after several errors. None of the buttons work too. And yes I have javascript enable in Firefox.

List of messages (you're probably aware of these because you've said yourself "Known errors: error messages when exporting from AMM":

Line: 69
Error: Expected ';'

Line: 318
Error: 'HTMLTableElement' is undefined

Line: 1326
Error: Object expected

Line: 560
Error: 'settings' is null or not an object

If you can send me the html file, I can see where it goes wrong.

Edit: Problem has been fixed in the newest version (see changelog)

amazing work on this nice looking template! still, for me, there are some unnecessary fields: movie number, movie id, scenario, media count, loan, media, resolution, audio info, subtitles... the template can be stripped? i noticed that removing fields from the template.html result in a blank page.
thanks for sharing your work with us! :D

Thanks for your update. It works now.
However. I have now another problem. I have got a couple of series like Stargate and in AMM I have put all the episode names in the description. When your template parses the description it ignores all newline characters. Now all the descriptions are one big block of text.
But I have solved it. It took me some time, because I have never programmed in Java (I have experience in C++ and Pascal). Here's an updated code:

Code: Select all

   //description
   if ( Movie.strDescription.length > 0 && Movie.strDescription != " " ) {
      var myStringArray = Movie.strDescription.split("\n")
      for (var i = 0; i < myStringArray.length; i++ ) {
         objRow = objTBody.insertRow( objTBody.rows.length );
         objCell = objRow.insertCell(0);
         objCell.colSpan = 3;
         objTemp = objCell.insertChild("p");
         objTemp.insertText( myStringArray[i] );
      }
   }

I don't know if others have this problem, but it would be nice to include this in your code just in case.

I think the solution for your problem isn't removing the fields, but replacing the fields with "". So "[amm:scenario]" becomes "".
I hope this helps.

Edit: You should probably also edit the header.html to remove the labels.

@danny_boy: you just have to replaces the tags in the template.html files with double quotes like Thorondor said.
Removing anything else won't be necessary because the template will detect unused fields and hide them :wink:
However you have to manually remove the those fields from the 'sort on' list.
Just open js_functions.png in a texteditor and go to line 1107 to find the 'sort on' list
Yes I know, its weird, but most of the javascript code in in that fake picture

@Thorondor: Nice work arround :idea:
I'll make sure that this will be fixed as soon as possible :wink:

When I generate a page with it there is a white glow over it.
You see that glow with IE but not with for example Firefox.

You meen it doesn't work on IE, but it does does work on Firefox.

The white glow does work on Firefox, but not on IE, on my pc.
Internet Explorer can't handle background images on table rows.
It's the only thing I wasn't been able to fox for IE.

Sorry for the misscommunication about the "glow".
It would be easyer to explain it in dutch but most of the forum members won't understand that.
So i guess it's a big step forward.
About the "glow", i'm sure you will fix that in time.
