Hello everybody (anybody),

I recently purchased the All My Books Software.
Having all my books (200+) entered in an Excel sheet for a few years now works great, but I wanted something more.
The program works great, and has great features.

But....
I can't seem to load my Excel sheet into the program using the built-in function.
The file was created in OpenOffice, but saved it as *.xls and have no other information in the fields than plane text.
Importing it I get an error message "ongeldige klasse reeks" (I have the dutch edition, and don't know how to translate this exactly.
Can anybody help me? I don't feel like manually adding all my books again.

Hi, SimWa_89!
You probably don't have MS Excel installed, which is needed for this function. You can save it in OpenOffice in CSV format and then import it using Tools-Import from-Import from plain text (CSV).

Hope, this helps.

Hi Gemini,

Indeed, I don't have MS Excel.
But the CSV doesn't really work either, what settings do I need to give the CSV file when I save it in OpenOffice (now LibreOffice)?
Some titles with scaces in it are converted to one cell per word, while others are correct.
I feel like I'm missing something.....

Hi there!
In LibreOffice you probably need to choose Save as… like in other programs and then choose CSV. When importing, don’t forget to check the box CSV. The problems with import can also be caused by the titles with spaces.

Hi, colinoz!
Go to Tools - Import from - CSV or Excel. Then find the file you're going to import and here you are.
