App shutting down on iPad

I just purchased the app for the iPad and am trying to sync on it after preparing books for an internet transfer. The process begins, on the ipad, and then the whole app shuts down shortly thereafter, without finishing the transfer. I have tried it on both my iPad and the iPad mini. No luck.

I have tried going through iTunes but do not see an ADD or a 2 in my version of itunes in the APP section.

Stumped!!

I give up

Since I can't get an answer to my problem, I'm just going to request a refund. I'll stick to the pc version and scrap the iPad one. Obviously, it needs help.
