Greetings,
Spent the last couple of hours working on amm 6.3 and Arcsoft Total Media 3 Platinum, VLC 1.18, and Windows Media Player (win7) and the latest Shark007 codecs (Plus x64).
Movies I used with test (all 4 bluray): Avatar, Gladiator, Planet Earth 1, Fringe Season 1/Disc 1.
Arcsoft Total Media 3 Platinum and VLC without aam, open directory from within the program:
Both open any video directory and have subtitle option for all movies and played them correctly, starting at the beginning of the movie.
When using aam and double clicking on the cover, all movies opened. Only VLC showed subtitles on all movies. None showed in Arcsoft Total Media 3. However, Gladiator did not open at the beginning of the movie, but in the middle. When I tried to edit movie/media info/local path to the beginning file by number it would change and was stuck on the original file it recognized (the largest?).
Windows Media Player (with latest win7codecs) opened all the bluray but Avatar and all movies had subtitles available.
For bluray playing Arcsoft played best, VLC had best subtitle access, but not as smooth as Arcsoft. Windows Media Player was also very good in subtitle catagory, played everything but Avatar.
If amm could read the directories like Arcsoft and VLC it would be fantastic. I have no desire to go back to disc's but much prefer playing off of my network HD through my HTPC running windows 7 64 bit.
Hope you can help me out and get amm to read directories a little more accurately because I really love the visual interface for movie browsing, making my choice and just double clicking on the cover and letting my HTPC take over.
Thanks, Mark
