ImageComparer for line drawings?

Hi,
I'm using ImageComparer to find duplicate photographs, and in almost all cases, it does the trick very well. However, I also would like to find duplicates amongst a set of scanned line drawings. These are 99% white bitmaps with more or less sharp (black) lines on them (old architectural plans, drawings of archaeological finds, bones, that kind of stuff). I tried to use ImageComparer for this, but it did not give good results. I assume the algorithm considers the whole drawing as a single white area, thus it finds a lot of similar scans, which is not very useful.

Does anyone know if such application exists, or if it is possible do this with ImageComparer? An example of two almost similar files can be sent by e-mail.

Thank you,
Joeri

Yeah, IC is meant for handling colour images, the algorithm being aimed at working with photos. Unfortunately, for line drawings it is not recommended.
